Jathin you can go for Secondment. It means you can join any other CA for a definite period and you won't need to get transfer too.

This type of problem is being faced by so many article trainees. Don't think that you are wasting your time,because it may disturb your studies too. At present let it be going on, because if you change to the other firm there is no guarantee that you will get time for study. For CA Student Practical Approach and Studies both are very important. But in this both Qualification is more important. So at present don't get depressed , in future ( in next 2 years ) you might even get chance to do audit also, who knows. Be Patient.

You might also become expertise in Accounts. In future your Auditor will give you your expected work.

Once you complete your CA  based upon your knowledge you can do the best. You Only said that "" i havent learnt anything from my articlehsip ""

Stay away from depression and negative thoughts...and focus on your study...i think this situation is affecting your study badly. So be careful....bcoz at this positive energy is must...so generate the same from good study sessions...

Hi Jatin, I can suggest you one thing. Discuss with your auditor whether he can be flexible with regard to providing you good amount of leave for CA Final exams and attending classes or doing any additional course. Based on this, u do some short term course like NCFM or CWA or CS or attend classes for all subjects for CA FInal and also take some bumper leave for exams. Cos, this is the only way to put your time to productive use. Also, stop thinking that if u dont get good exposure in audit or taxation u cant survive. It holds good only if u take practice or accounting, audit and taxation career after CA. Nowadays, there are lots of areas apart from those areas(eg. Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Forensic Accounting,etc.) where a CA can do well. So, equip with skills and qualifications required for those areas if possible

Jathin wat i cud understand after reading ur post is that....u only have to make a choice.....its between...exposure and exams....u have to think about wat shud be given importance .......I dont know much about the elligiblility requirements (completion of articleship)to appear in final for pe-2 pass students.... but if u r elligble to appear in final exam in nov 11..........im just giving u a suggestion.....I think eaxms r important....for u, as far as articleship is concerned continue with where u r...if theres not much work in ur firm ...u can use it to ur advantage......no work...that means u have some time to sit idle.....i mean with one client ...how much work do they have?use that time for ur studies....talk to the CA u r working under....I think u shud utilise this situation in ur favor....i dont know but small firms dont give u exposure but give u the most important thing---relaxation and time...that u need at present...cos they dont have much work...thers no workload....u have ur attempt in nov 11 ....so just study, join coaching cover the syllabus......truly saying the exposure u r looking for...u can get it later....by joining a big firm.

wisely, you continue with the same firm and concentrate on your studies., set your targets high, like a rank, or something that keep you busy, dont waste time thinking nothing is in favour of you from articleship. ignore it. if you clear in the first attempt itself you can join industrial training with total involvement. there are a lot of options available in yoursituation. think about it and take the advantage of it., all the best.
