CA Sachin D Jain is an Indian Chartered Accountant practising in Surat since 2008. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has also cleared Company Secretaryship Final Examination held by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is the Finalist in Management Accountancy Course held by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). He is a gold medalist and a ranker at India level in academics in CA, CS and CMA Course.

He is a founder Partner at M/s. Agarwal & Jain, Chartered Accountants, having its Head Office at Diamond City of India i.e. Surat. Formed the firm after having got seven years of experience in varied field of Chartered Accountancy in Financial Capital of India i.e. Mumbai. The firm, Agarwal & Jain, Chartered Accountants, was formed with the Brother in Law, CA Kapil S Agarwal, and Friend, CA Shilpa S Agrawal, as Partners and accompanied by younger brother Mr. Ankit D Jain, who is pursuing his Chartered Accountancy course. The team, being young and dynamic, is exploring new areas of Chartered Accountancy profession at the same time, committed to provide total client satisfaction in current areas of operations in the filed of Chartered Accountancy.

This regarding your below mentioned query in respect of MAT. I have the same query. Please reply for the same with regard to law and any judgement. Please mail me at anubhavjaggi@gmail.com One company has already adjusted lesser of unabsorbed depreciation and business loss as per books under MAT, last year i.e. FY 09-10. But still, there are carried forward losses in the form of Debit balance of profit and loss account. Now, in FY 10-11, 1. Should the company again make backward calculation to check the figure of lower of unabsorbed depreciation and business loss, to claim lesser of the two from current year calculation of MAT. Or 2. No deduction on account of lower of unabsorbed depreciation and loss will be allowed in FY 10-11, as the Company has already taken the benefit in FY 09-10.

NEHAL says : PRELIMINARY EXPENSE UNDER REVISED SCHEDULE VI
Preliminary Expense to be shown under the hear Other Non-current assets if > 12 months or u/h Current assets if <12months. But please suggest me what to keep in mind for this Preliminary expense in related to AS-26. Is there any provisions of restriction or written off in AS-26.?
