FAQ :

All states except Jharkhand, along with all three Union Territories with Legislative Assemblies, have chosen Option-1.

States choosing Option-1 receive funds to meet their GST implementation revenue shortfall through a special borrowing window established by the Government of India.

The special borrowing window has been operational since 23rd October 2020.

States are entitled to unconditional permission to borrow an additional 0.50% of their Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) out of the 2% additional borrowings permitted under AtmanirbharAbhiyaan.

The Government of India has already borrowed Rs.30,000 crore on behalf of the states and Union Territories that chose Option-1.

Chhattisgarh will receive funds from the special borrowing window starting from the next round of borrowing.
