What is the standard deduction in latest budget. I am a state government employee I do not receive any T. A. What would be profit for me in next year

You can straight way reduce Rs. 40K from your gross salary as standard deduction..........
Net tax effect will be reduction of 8K to 12K for 20% or 30% slab rates. (for no TA or medical allowance receivers)
