If you genuinely take excess credit then reply with all detail. Otherwise Pankaj Rawat say perfectly..

It's due to non filing of GSTR-1 from supplier end. If the notice was sent by GST dept , clarify the matter to the dept.

I too received this msg yesterday evening. I immediately checked my GSTR-2A and found not a single invoice during this period. However in January month GSTR2A invoices are shown. From April to september is also ok. But from oct-dec not a single invoice is showing. I am assuming to be a technical snag because its not possible not a single vendor has not filled its GSTR1.

Read Section 42 about mismatch reversal and reclaim. If the same was not reflected , mail to gst helpdesk to update the same or use grievance option to make it up to date.

Such message is being issued despite no mismatch in GSTR 3B and 2A. Sure it's a technical glitch. Also, the SMS is received on a partner's number which is not being used for GST transactions, OTPs etc. and never before GSTN communicated on that number.
