Sir,
my friend given his particulars to get contract work from a concern,he got only one Service work from that concern out of that proposal.But that Concern misused his PAN & ST No for various contract payment not him,corresponding Cr allowed (TDS) from his 26AS unfortunately he didn't know those transactions(even 26as).Then He gets SERVICE TAX Office NOTICE for Non compliance with ST Act,ie,amount exceeds 10 lakhs not collected/paid Service Tax.at present he explained his fact to concerned Superintendent,So what is the solution? & How can he get action against that Concern?

file a criminal complaint by way of fir and also file suit in criminal court.

he given advocate notice to that concern.whether he want to wait sometime or not.

It is really interesting to NOTE that while SERVICE tax people could CAPTURE the data but not 26AS.
Well, please keep us posted....seems to be a higher order culprit.
Just wait for reasonable time, else proceed on to file the suit.
