FAQ :
SEBI has relaxed the requirement for listed companies to send hard copies of annual reports and related documents to shareholders who have not registered their email addresses until December 31, 2022.
The circular providing this relaxation comes into force with immediate effect.
Companies are not required to send physical copies of the annual report to shareholders who haven't registered their email addresses until December 31, 2022. However, they must still send hard copies of the full annual report to any shareholder who specifically requests one.
The requirement to send proxy forms has been dispensed with until December 31, 2022, for general meetings that are held exclusively through electronic mode.
The relaxation has been provided to align with a circular issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on May 5, 2022.
