Form 1st July 2026, passport application fees will be increased as the Central Government has revised the passport fees structure across various categories. The new rates will apply to both new or reissued applications and the Tatkal service.

Passport Application Fee From 1st July 2026
Applicants (18 years of age and above / Minors aged between 15 to 18 years), if applied under this category:

Key Points
- An adult passport is generally valid for 10 years.
- A minor's passport is valid for 5 years or until the applicant attains the age of 18 years, whichever is earlier.
- Children up to 8 years of age and senior citizens (above 60 years) will get a 10% discount on the passport fee, but only for fresh passport applications. This discount does not apply to passport re-issue or renewal applications.
