The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has introduced significant changes allowing practicing Company Secretaries to form multidisciplinary firms. Previously, partnerships were restricted to fellow Company Secretaries. However, the 'Company Secretaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2020' now permit members to partner with professionals from other bodies, such as Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants, and Advocates. This update aims to broaden the scope of professional services offered by Company Secretaries.
