If the allotment letter is unavailable, then go to income tax e-filing portal click on the option "Know Your TAN" under Quick Links.

The Know Your TAN facility help users to search for TAN details using information such as the deductor's name, category and state.

3. Check Your TAN Application Acknowledgement

When applying for TAN, an acknowledgement is generated containing an acknowledgement number and application-related details.
