ECONOMICS – THE MUST LEARN FOR US
Economics – wat does this word mean? For people like us, it is the queen of all social sciences, derived from the greek word “oikos” and “nomia”. And there we always have the growth and welfare definition and so on. For any other person who is a literate, it is a subject which studies the present fiscal or the monetary or money related scenario of the country or state or whatever. For any other illiterate, its just “ what is that?”.
Out of 100 crore people in our country,of which 66% are literate, we were able to produce only one Amartya Sen in the past century.. where are the young minds upto? Where is the country heading to?
For any student, as of my little knowledge is concerned, the one opts for economics is simply the one who couldn’t get into medicine or engineering stream. Inspite of all the measures taken by our government, our country still remains a developing nation. What prevents our country to emerge a supreme power? Out of so many reasons which can be attributed to this and the answer for which is not so simple to state, a small yet reasonable state would be that the young minds are not deep into this field. To any tom, dick or harry, all these means just fiscal denominations which the country executes as welfare measures.
But, what is the matter of fact is what our student community fails to realize except for a few who are in this field. Lets make it even more simpler.
No country can emerge a supreme power over night. It is a slow at the same time steady phenomenon. All its people sHould understand what they are now and what they are gonna me after 10 years or so? Imagine friends, where there are countries like somalia, sudan etc where people starve for their basic livelihood, education would obviously be a dream. But consider our country, we are blessed with so many things. Our government is trying to provide education free of cost to all its people. After all this, doesn’t it become our duty to serve the nation after having received so much from it? Is it not our primary duty? You, be a doctor or an engineer, atleast you require the basic knowledge of economics to understand where we are upto.. mere listening to the fiscal figures would serve no purpose until you understand what it signifies and for it, the basic knolwedge of economics becomes inevitable.
Every student has his/her own interests. I simply tell you, become an expert in the field which you aspire and along with that expert knowledge, do have the basic knowledge of what our economy is.
LETS ALL JOIN TOGETHER IN BRINGING OUR NATION FORE FRONT AND FULFILL OUR FORMER PRESIDENT, THE LIVING LEGEND’S DREAM BY OR WITH OUR STUDENT POWER, EVEN BEFORE 2020.
