CPT - Challenge for new comers

First of all a very good morning to all my cci members. Recently I have come to know about the changes in cpt pattern and on the demand of my friends, I decided to write on this topic " cpt - challenge for new comers ".. Friends when ever a change in pattern comes or institute introduces a new course, the result always goes down...so be ready for it ......!!!!!

CPT - CHALLENGE FOR NEW COMERS

1. INTRODUCTION

First of all I will like to tell you that icai has brought a new scheme for cpt. As per latest scheme now every student has to get a minimum of 30% in every section. So I think it has become a difficult thing for those who are not well in maths and stats section. So its a advice to all to concentrate on every section.. Here I am disclosing some of the tips to tackle new scheme of C.P.T.

2. SOME TIPS TO TACKLE NEW PATTERN

A. EQUAL IMPORATNCE

Now the point lies here that everyone will have to work a little more harder than before. If you are weak in maths and stats section, please don’t ignore it and try to solve as many questions as you can. Pay more attention on economics and maths and stat section. As if you get 14 marks in one section and even if you are pass overall, still you will be declared fail.. So give equal importance to all sections.

B. DEPTH

Friends I will advice you to not to cram anything and just try to go in the depth of the subjects. As we are given choices so there is no point of cramming anything. If u know the concept and your basics are clear, I give assurance that you will definitely score well..!!!

C.SMARTNESS RATHER THAN HARD WORK

Friends I am not denying the fact that hard work in not required in CA. It is one of the most important criteria to clear CA exams. But in CPT if u are smart enough and study intelligently and smartly, you will definitely get through.

D. SCANNERS AND REVESIONARY PAPERS

Friends don’t ignore scanners and revisionary papers, as they will help you to get an idea of yourself, in other words you will come to know about your performance level. Try to solve more and more papers and you will definitely get through.

E. Before starting accounts section, try to have an idea of the basic concepts read in 11 and 12 class. As in CPT there is no extra thing other than 11 and 12 concepts. So they will help you a lot to score better.

F. Many of us consider maths and stats section very very difficult, but its not so. You can easily score 20 to 25 marks in this section. Just try to solve as many questions as you can and also consult suggested. They will help you a lot.

G. Law is a new but very interesting subject. You can easily score 40 to 45 marks in it provided you take it seriously. Just try to concentrate on the matter and please don’t cram anything other than sections. If you will take it seriously it will help u in IPCC level also.

H. Now lets come to economics section. Now you will have to change your thinking in it. Without cramming it, you can never clear this section. As you will have to cram figures, matter, i.e rates, monetary policies, etc.. so revise this section at least 3 to 4 times.

3. CONCLUSION

Just try to concentrate on the above points and perform your best. Please dont listen to anyone in exams, just perform by your own mind. Others will just confuse you!!! So believe in yourself.
