As we all know, Chartered Accountancy is a well recognised accounting profession. It can fetch you job opportunities all over the world. Though such condition exists, many students are in a run to pursue a degree from some universities while they are doing CA course. Chartered Accountancy is a well-updated course compared to other professional courses. This is indeed a reason for the rising demand of Chartered Accountants in the market.

Well, Some students believe the following myths prevailing in the cyber world::

- In an interview, if two chartered accountants appear, the one with a Bachelor's degree is given preference.

- Reputed Companies call for interview, only those Chartered Accountants, who has a Bachelor's degree.

To those guys who make the above statements, I have only one thing to say - GROW UP GUYS. As said earlier Chartered Accountancy is a well updated course and the so called companies know well that you are updated to the latest amendments in the finance sector. For example, if we take the portions of Bcom course of Kerala University, we can find that the Income tax(which comes in second year) is not at all updated. It still bears the rates of tax and provisions way back to 2007. I found it very hard to study those figures and for my Bcom exam, I wrote on the top of the paper that I am writing answers according to the assessment year in which i wrote the exam. Fortunately, the examiner granted me marks.

CA course is not at all degree equivalent. It's more than that.

One more thing I have to tell you is that in an interview, the interviewers do not need the list of your qualifications. Many think that  a number of qualifications like CMA, CS, Bcom, Mcom, etc  will help you to be placed in a good job, it's just a myth. Interviewers only checks your ability to adapt to a given situation, the policies you adopt and whether you can make any value addition to their company. Many a times, a person with a lot of educational qualifications fails to possess the above requirements and as a result, he will be turned down in the interview.

So friends, do not waste your time by acquiring a list of qualifications. Invest your time in Chartered Accountancy course and be a master in it. If you go for CA, CS, etc, you will fail to acquire an in depth knowledge in any of these fields. Rather, if you concentrate in one course and if you are passionate, you can be the king of that profession.

[This article is not meant to hurt those students who are doing CS,CMA,BACHELOR'S DEGREE,etc. with CA course. This is meant as a relief for those students who are confused and are struggling from mental stress. ]
