Dear Friends ,

Many many congratulations to all of those who have cleared CA IPCC examination this time .This is a time of great celebration and hope everyone celebrating his grand success in this exam. Beyond this there is one more thing which you may missed out while being busy in such celebration  which is nothing but going on right track for rest of your CA career i.e. joining of articleship. By this article i tried to bring some important and useful points in your kind notice.

Articleship a journey towards our final destination for being a member of Global identity of Indian Accounting and finance professionals i.e. Chartered accountant, therefore articleship become a important point for being a successful Chartered accountant and it requires taking right step of joining right Chartered Accountant Firm .

As the name of joining articleship appears, following question may arise in your mind:

  1. Whether to go for articleship in the same city where you are particularly residing or  going for articleship in any another city ?

  2. Whether to join a Big firm or Small CA firms?and so many other questions.

Then answer to the above question is in my view, for which i specially wrote this article, is  you should choose any another place for Articleship to get much exposure of works in cities like Delhi, Indore, Mumbai etc. There are so many reasons why one should go for articleship in Big cities which summarised here below:

  • You will get good experience and variety of work do to in this period as you will get sufficient time almost 3 years to work freely without any problems of having classes, exams etc. in between, This is an advantage which was not available in previous scheme i.e. PCC

  • As there is Huge demand for article assistants now a day, You will be paid higher amount in your articleship period which nothing but 2-3 times higher then, was acutely been paid to PCC articles when they joined.

  • As now a days Almost Every CA firm is providing an option to work in special area of work therefore one can go for his interested area of work.

  • Working in Big cities will unable you to develop a good and dynamic personality. This is because everyday you will meet here thousands of people having different kind of nature and personality. Thus you will automatically get influenced by interacting with them.

Now the answer to second question i.e. whether to go for BIG firms of Small firm is, depend from person to person. Those who want to do expertise in particular area should join Big CA firms and those who want to go for variety of work should choose small or medium size firm. The advantages and disadvantages of joining  Big CA firms are here below:

Advantage:
  • You will get paid at higher stipend.

  • You will get an choice of work in special area where you are interest.

  • Better chances for Value additions and Self developments.

  • Quality Work experience and great exposure resulting good knowledge and high paid packages after completion of CA course.

  • Favorable  working and learning environment whereby one can enhance its potential and develop his own skill

Disadvantage:

  • A particular area of work will not lead you towards variety work resulting Limited scope.

  • Less leave for exam preparations

Now based on above discussion one should decide using his own prudence and go for better career option. As a matter of fact it is a time for gaining expertise in any particular field rather than going for all area even if you wish to go for practicing in future.

In continuation With above article i will try to provide List and Mail Id of All BIG CA Firms in Mumbai.
