Recent international engagements include the ICAI Global Professional Accountants Convention (GloPAC), participation in the Africa Congress of Accountants (ACOA), cabinet approval of an MoU with CA Maldives, attending ASEAN Federation of Accountants meetings, and a delegation tour to Estonia and the Netherlands.

ICAI is actively involved in promoting and supporting startups, recognising their role in innovation and economic growth, and is organising an event called ICAI Startup Sphere to foster their development.

The ICAI Council has decided to open additional reading rooms, confirmed the December 2023 CA Foundation Examination will be held under the existing scheme, and approved the renewal of MoUs/MRAs with several international accounting bodies, as well as the opening of new representative offices in the USA.
