Encouraging Corpoate Social Responsibility
The Government has said that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued Voluntary Guidelines on Corporate Social Responsibility in December, 2009 to encourage the corporate sector to contribute in the social and economic development of the communities. Giving this information in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, Shri Salman Khurshid, Minister for Corporate Affairs, said that his Ministry is not planning to give fiscal or other incentives to corporate houses for discharging social obligations.
