Is the companies required to obtain from client to check if lower rate of tds to be deducted

Yes those who want to receive money with TDS at lower rate must furnish a certificate obtained from TDS Section of IT department to a person who is responsible for paying to you so as to enable him to deduct TDS at lower rate.

TDS CAN ONLY BE DEDUCTED AT A LOWER RATE IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:

1. Transport operators
2.cash management services
3. charges for warehousing services
4. underwriting service charges

People are earning 20 points by criticizing other's replies and 30 points by liking their own replies...and calls himself a professional...

Should Improve their own behaviour before criticizing others... why don't they mind their own doomed business.. there are admins who can judge the replies, we're no-one to judge..
