Dear Friends,

I cleared my CA final in revaluation (October 2012), and completed GMCS training (December 2012) few days back.

I enjoyed the training a lot, it was a nice experience to learn with fun.

Few tips for students who are willing to join GMCS

1. Try to make new friends:

Yes friends, it's show time. Make as much new friends as you can. You would be given many opportunities to make friends. Don’t lose the same.

2. Participate Actively:

You should be active in your approach and should be having positive attitude.

The faculties would allot you many activities, some are solo and some are in groups. Try to be a team player when you are in group. Give your best.

3. Kill your Hesitation:

This is the time to come out of your comfort zone. If you are not able to perform now, it would be difficult for you to perform latter. There would plenty of opportunities to speak and perform in front of all, don’t lose this opportunity. Kill your stammering and remember you are performing in front of your friends, who would only help you to understand your weak points and develop the same.

4. Time to create your Professional Network:

This is a very important aspect. You would meet people having variety of work experience and working in different areas. The connections you make now would reward you latter.

My seniors have started a CA Firm of 3 partners. All three of them meet at GMCS, they were working in different fields (Tax, Audit, and Finance) and in a short span of time they have performed well.

I needed few documents related to incorporation of trust. I posted my requirement on whats app and Bingoo!

5. GD and PI – Needs special attention

We, Chartered Accountants have good technical skills, but we lack in presentation skills. Generally, the faculties from MBA background handle GD and PI. Please give special attention to these sessions. Make notes and participate in Mock PI and GD. It helped me a lot in getting job.

6. Stay Connected:

Last but not the least, always stays connected with the faculties, and other students. Exchange your E-mail Ids, contact number. We have created a group on Facebook, on WhatsApp and all batch mates are in touch. We are planning outings almost every alternate day.

Apart from all above, those 15 days were most memorable days of my life. Our group was amazing. We had a picnic, DJ Party, many B’day celebrations, lots of outings.

I can surely say that I have earned 49 friends for lifetime by joining this batch
