For the first time in U.S. history, a sitting president, Donald Trump, will have his signature printed on paper currency.
This will going to breaks long-standing tradition where currency carried:

- The Treasury Secretary's signature
- The U.S. Treasurer's signature
There will be an end of a 165-Year Tradition. Lynn Malerba will be the last treasurer to appear on U.S. federal currency since 1861, when the U.S. government first issued it.
Rollout Plan
The first $100 bills with Trump’s signature and that of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will be printed in June.
Bessent said in a statement that the change was appropriate is for the U.S. 250th anniversary, given strong U.S. economic growth and financial stability during Trump’s second term.
