JanSamarth: Launch of new government portal

The Government of India has launched a new portal - JanSamarth Portal, a unique one-stop digital portal linking all government schemes. 

This new portal has been launched to provide a one-stop destination for all government schemes available for financial assistance for different industries and lenders on board. 

At present, the portal has 13 schemes in 4 different categories under which loans can be taken by the eligible businesses from the 125+ lenders which have been onboarded on the platform. The loans can be applied for higher education, a loan for setting up a new business or expanding an existing business, loans for Individuals and Self Help Groups(SHG), and loans for developing agricultural infrastructure, clinics, and business centres. 

The following schemes are presently catered on this new government portal:

1. Education Loan

• Central Sector Interest Subsidy (CSIS)
• Padho Pardesh (Padho Pardesh)
• Dr. Ambedkar Central Sector Scheme (Dr. Ambedkar)

2. Agri Infrastructure Loan

• Agri Clinics and Agri-Business Centers Scheme (ACABC)
• Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI)
• Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)

3. Business Activity Loan

• Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
• Weaver Mudra Scheme (WMS)
• Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna (PMMY)
• Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor Aatmanirbhar Nidhi Scheme (PM SVANidhi)
• Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers (SRMB)
• Stand Up India Scheme (StandUpIndia)

4. Livelihood Loan 

• Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM)
