No, the new e-Aadhaar app is designed to allow users to update their details from home, eliminating the need to visit an Aadhaar centre.
For DOB updates, the system is expected to fetch the date from other official documents such as a PAN card, passport, driving license, birth certificate, or ration card.
It is mandatory to link your PAN with your Aadhaar card by 31st December 2025. Unlinked PAN cards will become inactive from 1st January 2026.
Demographic updates (name, address, DOB, mobile, email) cost INR 75 per update. Biometric updates (fingerprint, iris, photo) cost INR 125. Updating supporting documents is INR 75, and an Aadhaar printout costs INR 40.
