Recently, rumors have been spread across social media and news that companies like Indian Oil Corporation have tightened the mandatory gap between LPG refill bookings and introduced new waiting periods.
- 35 days for non-Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana double-bottle connections.
- 25 days for non-Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana single bottle connections.
Clarification from the Government
The government has denied all such reports, as there is no change in LPG refill booking rules. No new 35-day rule has been introduced.
Minimum gap between two refill bookings remains:
- 25 days in urban areas
- 45 days in rural areas
These timelines continue as per existing guidelines.
The Government stated that reports circulating in sections of the news and on social media about changes in LPG refill booking norms are incorrect.
