CA - A journey of Ups and Downs of CA Aspirants

Recently, ICAI announced CA Foundation Results for June-2023

Firstly, I admire the courage of all CA foundation students to think about one of the toughest Examinations in the country. One can understand the toughness of the exam with the number of candidates appearing in this examination. In May 2023 total of 103517 students appeared for the CA foundation exam. 

As per the report around 1.30 crores student gave the 12th exam this year. ( Under Central and State Boards) Out of this 15% of the student appeared in Commerce stream. So even if I consider that all the students have appeared first time in the Foundation exam then also only 1 lakh out of 20 lakhs students dare to think and appear for this course. 

So let me congratulate all the students to be 1 out of 20. Because you have won half of the battle because “ Before winning the war, it is very important to win over fear.”

Now I congratulate and welcome those 25860 students who cleared the CA Foundation exam as they are in the category of FCA (Future Chartered Accountants) but let me tell you one thing the CA Foundation is the easiest exam with the best results in the whole CA course, so don’t be overconfident and prepare well for the CA Intermediate because Intermediate and Final will require more focus and confidence.

I would like to quote one line of Swami Vivekananda  “उठो, जागो और तब तक मत रुको जब तक मंजिल प्राप्त न हो जाए “

For those students who could not clear the exam in this attempt, I would say this is another opportunity for you to rethink and audit yourself, your ability, strength and capability to deal with the greatest fear. Because with this exam, now you must be aware of the pressure of study, exam and society. So decide now whether you could handle all these for the next 5 years if yes then my next line is for you : 

असफलता एक चुनौती है, इसे स्वीकार करो, क्या कमी रह गई, देखो और सुधार करो।

जब तक न सफल हो, नींद चैन को त्यागो तुम, संघर्ष का मैदान छोड़ कर मत भागो तुम।

कुछ किये बिना ही जय जय कार नहीं होती, कोशिश करने वालों की कभी हार नहीं होती। "

Now coming to the last part of this note, regarding pressure on CA students. 

The CA Course syllabus is not as tough as it seems or people spoke about it. It is tough because of its course & exam pattern.

I would say the institute prepares students to deal with every kind of situation, pressure and failure in life.

For those who fail in this attempt, I want to say to them You dare to choose one of the greatest and toughest courses to pursue. So be stronger and keep going and remember one thing “There is always a next attempt in CA. The worth of the signature of CA passed in the first attempt and the 10th attempt is the same.

 So whenever you feel demotivated recall the lines of the Honourable Prime Minister that “ A Chartered Accountants signature is more powerful than mine.” 

Lastly, I request all parents, relatives and friends of CA aspirants give motivation to them and be with them as you must be aware that your child or friend giving one of the toughest exams in this country which require constant moral support and mental stability as well. If you are concerned about any of your friends or relatives don’t call on the day of results. लड़कियों से उनकी Age और सीए स्टूडेंट से उनके Attempt कभी नहीं पूछते. 

Finally, Even after giving 100% of effort one could not be a CA he will always be a Half CA and a half CA can earn better than many other degree holders.
