Seventeen states received the grant.
A Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant is provided to states to meet the gap in their revenue accounts after fund devolution, as per the recommendations of the Finance Commission.
These grants are provided to the states under Article 275 of the Constitution.
The Fifteenth Finance Commission recommended a total of Rs. 1,18,452 crore for these grants in the financial year 2021-22.
So far, Rs. 1,08,581 crore has been released to eligible states in the current financial year.
