It's a scheme launched by the MCA to allow companies and LLPs to make good on any filing-related defaults by filing necessary documents without facing higher additional fees for delays.
The scheme was introduced in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak to provide relief to law-abiding companies and LLPs and reduce their compliance burden during the public health situation.
The scheme is active from 1st April 2020 and ends on 30th September 2020.
The main benefit is a one-time waiver of additional filing fees for delayed filings, offering companies and LLPs an opportunity to make a fresh start.
The scheme provides immunity from penal proceedings specifically for delayed filings in MCA 21, but not against any substantive violation of law.
