MCA Circular no. OI/Estt/Adv. dated 22nd May 2008 inviting Chartered Accountants to be empanelled as Auditors

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued Circular inviting Chartered Accountants to be empanelled as Auditors in the Companies under liquidation. The text of the Circular is as follows:

C I R C U L A R
Pursuant to Hon’ble Court’s orders dated the 01.05.2008, Official Liquidator attached to the High Court of Delhi, invite Bio data/Applications from qualified and desirous Chartered Accountants, who are enrolled as Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and in active practice for at least 03 years and are interested to be empanelled for the Official Liquidator as Auditors in the Companies under liquidation. The applicants who are interested may submit their bio-data/application inter alia stating (i) the details of income during the last 3 years. (ii) furnish recommendations of two practicing Chartered Accountants having atleast 10 years practice, (iii) the remuneration expected (iv) no disciplinary proceedings are pending.
 
It is clarified that the professional fee / remuneration to be paid shall be subject to the fund position obtaining in the company in liquidation.
 
Chartered Accountants, who are desirous to be empanelled as above, may send their application/bio data to the Official Liquidator at the above mentioned address. The last date for receipt of applications/bio-data is 10.07.2008.
