The ICAI Convocation Ceremony is an annual event organised to award certificates of membership to newly qualified members and to facilitate rank holders of the CA examinations.
The Convocation Ceremony could not be organised since January 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings.
More than 13,000 members received their certificates during the 2021-22 Convocation ceremonies held across 11 cities.
The ICAI planned to organise the Convocation ceremony at 11 places: Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Kanpur, Indore, Jaipur, and Delhi.
In New Delhi, the Convocation was held on 12th-13th April, 2022, awarding certificates to approximately 4,500 members and rank holders.
The Convocation is intended to bring young members of the profession under the umbrella of the fraternity of Chartered Accountants and foster a sense of belongingness to the profession and the Institute.
