In a significant relief to its members, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has extended the last date to submit the Self-Declaration Form for claiming CPE Hours under Unstructured Learning Activities (ULA) for Calendar Year 2024 to 31st May, 2025.
This decision comes in light of several members completing CPE activities by the earlier extended date of 28th February, 2025, but failing to update their records on the ICAI CPE Portal under the impression that the last date for submission was 31st May, 2025.

This is in continuation to the announcement dated 30th January, 2025 (available at link https://www.icai.org/post/issuance-of-cpe-statement-2023)
As you are already aware that "Statement on Continuing Professional Education, 2023" (available at link https://www.icai.org/post/issuance-of-cpe-statement-2023) has been made effective from Calendar year 2024 onwards. Thus, it is pertinent to mention that due to introduction of Consequential Provisions from Calendar year 2024 onwards the last date of submission of Self Declaration Form for claiming Unstructured Learning Activities (ULA) CPE Hours from Calendar year 2024 is preponed to 31st December of every year.
The same had been well propagated amongst the Members through Multiple channels via ICAI Journal, ICAI's Communication, Mass Mail and Website Hosting etc.
Further, it has been brought into the notice of the CPE Committee that Members have completed CPE Hours under Unstructured Learning Activities till 28th February, 2025 (extended period) but some members have failed to update/upload the same on the CPE Portal for the Calendar Year 2024 on the belief that last day to upload is 31st May 2025.
In this regard, we would like to inform you that it has been decided by the Competent Authority to extend the last date for submission of Self Declaration Form till 31st May, 2025 for claiming CPE Hours under Unstructured Learning Activities completed till 28th February, 2025 (extended period) for the Calendar Year 2024.
Again, it is clarified that you can update your CPE hours under ULA by logging into the CPE Portal via https://cpeapp.icai.org/member/login using your six-digit membership number as the User ID and the default password format: cpe+6 digit membership number. To ensure compliance as per Continuing Professional Education Statement, 2023, we once again urge members to:
1. Review your current CPE hours status on the CPE Portal (https://cpeapp.icai.org/member/login).
2. Members who could not submit their Self Declaration Form for the Calendar year 2024 yet, are requested to kindly submit the same at the earliest but not later than 31st May, 2025.
Kindly note:
(i) NO FURTHER EXTENSION would be granted to Members for submitting their Self Declaration Form for claiming CPE Hours under Unstructured Learning Activities for the Calendar Year 2024 and they are required to comply with the Consequential provisions for non-compliance with CPE hours requirement on yearly (available link https://resource.cdn.icai.org/79152cpe63323.pdf).
(ii) This extension applies only to the Calendar Year 2024. For the Calendar Year 2025 onwards, the declaration for claim of ULA must be submitted latest by 31st December of each year.
