FAQ :
The Government of India received Rs. 8,08,672 crore up to August 2021.
Receipts comprised Rs. 6,44,843 crore from Tax Revenue (Net to Centre), Rs. 1,48,650 crore from Non-Tax Revenue, and Rs. 15,179 crore from Non-Debt Capital Receipts.
Rs. 2,12,606 crore was transferred to State Governments as Devolution of Share of Taxes by the Government of India up to August 2021.
The total expenditure incurred by the Government of India was Rs. 12,76,681 crore up to August 2021.
Out of the total revenue expenditure, Rs. 2,78,371 crore was on account of Interest Payments.
