Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has chaired a pre-budget consultation meeting with the Finance Ministers of various States and Union Territories. The meeting saw participation from Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and senior officials. Many attendees expressed gratitude for the financial support provided to their regions, including enhanced borrowing limits and advanced devolution installments. They also presented numerous suggestions for the upcoming Budget 2023-24, which the Finance Minister has pledged to consider.
