Getting an MBA from IIMs is not a cakewalk as it has hurdles like CAT,WAT,GD and PI.
And you get into your dream institute after clearing all the levels. On the other hand entering into CA is really easy but exiting is very tough. Let us compare both the professions on the basis of few parameters.
In terms of
Salary --IIM Grads(A/B/C/L/I/K)
Position--Depends on the performance of the candidate but usually IIM Grad
Independence--- An IIM grad or any other B-school grad can only be independent when he has got entrepreneurship skills. On the other hand, CA can simply have his own firm. So a CA.
Entry--- CAT is one of the toughest entrance exams and only those will be selected who have 99+ percentile and decent academics. But CA is a course for anyone irrespective of their past academic performance and age.
Exit---- CA has a very less pass percentage and this time it was around some 3.2%. But in the case of IIMs, it only drops out the candidates who don't meet the threshold limit.
Finally an CA can get an MBA from IIMs or even other reputed B-schools like ISB. So chill.
