Dear Experts

One of my friend entered into a property transaction approximately three years ago when the property was still under construction. The total consideration for the property was Rs. 57 lakh and the property was purchased jointly by his wife.

The payment was made in installments, starting from April 2023, with the final payment made in May 2025. However, the registration deed for the property was executed in May 2026.

My question is whether Form 26QB is required to be filed in this case, Rs. 40 lakh payments already made before october 2024 and balance payment in May 2025.
