As far as i know, in assignment problems there is always a perfect Matrix ,while in tspt problems it doesn't have the same. Secondly in tspt problems we have to find cost/profit with the given chain of demand & Supply or available resources with vogels app. Methods....

in assingment only matrix is given while in transportation along with matrix demand and supply is also given .
Will be Given in question.!!!!!!!!
Check for the catch words like initial solution,assigning,demand and supply etc.....
