A Senior Citizen widow is filing tax for the first time. She has submitted 15H Form for amount more than 2.7 Lakhs.
She has not filed IT returns yet and planning to do so this week with interest payment for Tax due.
Will she get IT scruitny notice.

For exact answers u need to provide some more details like:
- her age (whether senior citizen /super senior citizen)
- either AY or FY
- the amount available for Chapter VIA deductions etc
Anyways ,even if her time limit u/s-139(1) had expired (kindly note that its 31/10/2013 for Uttarakhand) she can still avail the limited benefits available under sec.139(5) for Revised Returns or sec.139(4) for belated filing of returns..
