Companies (Disqualification of Directors under section 274(1)(g) of the Companies Act, 1956) Rules, 2003

Which states as under

These rules shall apply to all public limited companies registered under the
Companies Act, 1956.

It’s lateral meaning is that such rules are not applicable for private companies and director disqualified under section 274(1)(g) is not restrained from appointed or reappointed in a private company

director of Public Co. defaulting U/s 274(1)(g) can become director in pvt co. ?

yes

or a director of a pvt. co is not disqualified as per Sec 274(1)(g) ?

yes, provided he is not director in any public company or if he is, then has not committed default under sec. 274(1)(g)
