I took home loan jointly with my wife. We are paying yearly interest component of Rs.3Lakhs & Principal component of Rs.2Lakhs. My question is whether both can cliam Interest & prinicipal under Sec24 & 80C? (i.e Under 24C = Rs.1,5Lakh /each & under 80C = Rs.1Lakh / each). Pls clarify

The limit of Rs. 1.5 lakh for interest is seprate for each applicant.
