This is just to inform you that my name in appears in ‘Limca Book of Records’ 2010edition at pages 85-86 in the category – ‘Communications:

LETTERS to the editor-multiple records: “Mahesh Kapasi (b Oct.28, 1948) of Gulmohar Park, Delhi who has 9,569 letters published in 321 newspapers and magazines since 1974, holds these records:

Most in a month: Published 91 letters in various newspapers and magazines in Nov.2008

Most in a single newspaper in a year: published 146 letters in Central Chronicle published from Bhopal between July 10, 2006 and July 9, 2007.

Longest: Published a 960-worded letter in Indian Nation, erstwhile English daily from Patna, Bihar on Dec.3, 1996.

Most prizes: He has won the best letter to the editor prizes 107 times as of May 16, 2009”

My latest tally is 10,449 letters in 339 newspapers and magazines.
