Can some one pls calrify me regarding the point regarding whether plastic containers used for packing goods bearing a brand name are eligible for exemption in computing SSI limits?
The latest notification says:
" where the specified goods are in the nature of packing materials and are meant for use as packing material by or on behalf of the person whose brand name they bear"
Yes they are eligible for exemption as per latest amendment.
where specified goods are in the nature of packing materials; namely , printed cartons of paper or paper board, metal containers,adhesive tape, stickers, metal labels, plastic bags, printed laminated rolls etc.
Hence, plastic containers used for packing goods bearing a brand name are eligible for exemption in computing SSI limits.
