Hra not accounted in my form 16

Hi All,

Good Morning

How can i  show HRA that not been accounted by my employer in form 16 in ITR.
However I have paid my rent for all months in a year
Please help me, thanks in advance.

Yes you can claim HRA not shown in Form 16. However you will receive Notice U/S 143 (1a) as there will be a mismatch between Form 16 and the IT Return filed. Thereafter you can respond to the notice by providing requisite proof.

recalculate your income starting with gross salary as shown in F16 and claim HRA

do not e-verify the return, instead manually send ITR-V hardcopy along with recalculation sheet and proof

i would recommend sending of payslips as well
