We have got ST number(GTA) on June 08 . please justify rules for filling ST 3 prior tranaction i.e. 2007-08 .is it compulsory or not . and if any tranaction made before registration then what is the procedure for payment and filling return .

SERVICE TAX RETURN IS TO BE FILED FOR EVERY SIX MONTHS LIKE APRIL-SEP & OCT-MARCH BEGNING WITH THE HALF YEAR IN WHICH U HAVE OBTAINED UR REGISTRATION..
SUPPOSE U HAVE OBTAINED SERVICE TAX NO. IN JUNE SO UR FIRST RETUN WILL BE FOR APRIL-SEP (INCLUDING THE TRANSANCTIONS OF APRIL)
