As per ICAI Rules and regulations, Those person who have completed CA final exmanination there after apply for membership No. with ICAI. During the first five years of practice the member will be called as ACA and after completion of continous practive of 5 years the member have to send seperate application to add the member name in FCA register. After getting the sanction letter from ICAI the member can use FCA designation officially.

In case the member in industry after getting Membership No. with ICAI, initially 8 years period called as ACA and thereafter called as FCA after filing and getteing sanction letter from ICAI.
