It depends on which line he needs a career. if he is interested in accounting, auditing and taxation, opt for practise otherwise go in for industry. But in Industry also there are variety of options like Internal Audit, Wealth Management, Corporate Finance, Risk management, etc. So , ask him to decide exactly and choose approriarate industry of go in to practise
