Meaning of AOP and BOI, and its Difference. An AOP means a group of persons (whether individuals, HUF, companies, firms, etc.) who join together for common purpose(s). ... Whereas, BOI means a group of individuals (individual only) who join together for common purpose(s) whether or not to earn income.

1) if 2 or more persons combined together to do a business and registered
as partnership is called as partnership
2) if 2 or more persons ( only individuals ) joined together for common purpose and not registered as partnership is called as body of individuals .
3) if 2 or more persons (individuals , huf, firms , companies etc ) joined together for common purpose is called as association of persons .
