Ddt

Dear All,

Pls. respond to this query at the earliest:

X ltd is a Pvt. Ltd. Co. having its only source of income as dividend income on equity shares which is fully exempt from income tax.
Now X Ltd declares dividend to its shareholders out of this Exempt income.

The question is whether X Ltd is liable to pay DDT since it is declaring dividend out of exempt income.
