I don't know whether this is true or not, but this is the worst proposal from ICAI I have ever heard. I think we have to tell them to stop playing with our life. Right now ICAI is number one; this does not mean that they are going to be so forever. If international institutions enter; in competing with them ICAI does not have any chances of survival. There are institutes which updates their syllabus every 6 months. And that is correct policy in current environment because the world is changing rapidly. We have to keep up with changes and dear ICAI never bothers about it. Well though they introduced some good things like “Orientation Program” this is a not enough.

regular-college-system is doubtful for a simple reason.

ICAI primarily cares for its members. AND if this happens, the members in practice, wont be able to exploit the articles fully...Moreover, we all know very well that how much does the Instt values the rigorous articleship. Any dilution, that too brought by ICAI...is strange (but good) to hear abt..

I think the news which u have heard is about the 3-Months Residential GMCS which was supposed to be made compulsory...
