Hi! Even I would like to know more abt it? my E-mail ID. is alifya_hkhasamwala @ yahoo.co.in
As Sonu said, mail at india @ cimaglobal.com, you will be provided links to important details on their website, on further communication they will dispatch you an information kit in which you will get all possible details.

Same for ACCA.Just mail them at their uk site. They will reply late than CIMA but nonetheless, you will surely get a reply. And they too send an information kit. There is a link on their website from which you can register for getting information kit.

Check out one pakistani forum in google about chartered accountancy.CIMA/ACCA are more famous in Pakistan. You will get detailed discussions about both courses there.

In India CIMA is being more aggressively marketed than ACCA in the past few months. They have an office in Mumbai and are selling learning resources through D & B. AFAIK, only PwC taks CIMA students for training in India. There may be others but its not mentioned on their website.3 yr Training is a vital part in CIMA.So check out more about this grey area.

hi Sonu, you can get all information on cimaglobal.com & if you are in mumbai you can contact there mumbai office also.
As jagrut said its now marketed more in india but till date not much known in indian market so if you are CA plus CIMA you will get benefit in india but if you are planning to go out than only CIMA can do but you need to have 3 years of exp. in different field (not like CA) from accouting to project report & IT & other areas that will be assessed by CIMA institute & than only you can be a member of CIMA but the cost is in POUND so you need to have backup for that & in india still no tutors are available so study will be on your own.one of the company in gurgaon (i think Bpo of GE) is taking cima student once they clear managerial level (earlier Inter) of CIMA.The staff in mumbai is cooperative but you can use site also for more information this course is more popular in Srilanka also
Yes, Genpact is the name of that GE firm which Deepak is telling about.
The total cost of the CIMA course in Indian currency comes to about Rs one lakh ,excluding cost of study materials. In British Council, Kolkata they have CIMA books for each and every subject and every level.I even found some books of CIMA in ICAI,Kolkata library.

Check out both ICAI institute and British Council in your city to find reference books for CIMA.

Just a few days back I received the info kit for CIMA.Inside there was a covering letter, and a booklet mentioning details about CIMA just as given on their website and a few leaflets mentioning important online links.

I was expecting more info on companies providing practical training in India. Most of them are MNC's having presence in India. However, I cant still figure out which of them give training in India.

I will be giving CPT in November. So will decide to do CIMA or not, only later.

The crux of the story is-try anything you like CA,international CFA,CIMA,ACCA or MBA.Just persevere to remain on top in whichever field you go in.And dont be too lusty about degrees.Perhaps, one national and one international level professional course must be enough to keep our careergraph smooth and tending upwards.
