Yes, MCA accepts virtual office addresses for company incorporation under SPICe+. The Registrar of Companies does not require the registered office to be a physical office that you occupy full-time.
Documents you need from the virtual office provider:
- Registered office address proof (utility bill not older than 2 months)
- NOC from the property owner or virtual office provider
- Lease/rental agreement in the company's or proposed company's name
Important notes:
- The ROC jurisdiction for your company will be Bangalore (Karnataka), not your home state Gurugram
- All regulatory correspondence (SEBI, RBI, ROC notices) will go to the Bangalore address, so ensure mail forwarding is reliable
- For GST registration, the virtual office address becomes the principal place of business, which will need to be consistent with your actual operations
Many startups use virtual offices in metro cities for this exact reason, especially to benefit from the startup ecosystem and banking relationships in that city.
Tax Garden assists with end-to-end company registration including document coordination with virtual office providers. See this [company registration guide](https://taxgarden.in/blog/private-limited-company-registration-step-by-step-guide-complete-process-2026) for the full SPICe+ process.
