can CA accept fees as promisory notes?

is  a CA allowed to accept fees in the form of promisory notes????

pls answer referring to professional ethics and AAS-1(integrity)

Dear Tara,

 

I like ur question, but I think that Professional fees can be accepted through promissory notes..Since it simply a "negotiable Instrument" & doesnot in anyway dependent on future uncertain events which is prohibited by ethics..

Further, I don't think there is any Integrity issue involved with this..
