HI

I have done my article ship in 2001, but din't  continue my CA course. Have few queries as below

1. If I want to continue my CA course now, whether I need to undergo articleship once again ?

2. I am 35 years of age now. What is scope after finishing the course (may be at the age of 37 or 38)

You should Complete CA at whatever age it is, It has always got its own Value & status, Which is very very very more than than what value you have Today.

Yourt Query 1 : You dont have to do Articles again, Articles Once done & completed Remains Valid for Life Long, However if you have not completed your Inter CA / PE II then you would be required to convert to IPCC now complete ITT training of 100 Hrs ( I am very sure of this ) However also you will have to do a 35 - 40 Hrs Orientation Prgm ( I am Not sure about this if you are exempted fromdoing thi or No) & thats all, this you can even do after your exams or even now, Go to your nearest ICAI Chapter Office Get converted, Fill your Exam Form for NOV 2012 & gear up to Pass your Exam in Nov 2012

Age is never a matter for studies. One Mr S D Bala author of a book of Financial Mgmt for CA final started his CA at age of 57 after retiring from State Bank as a ASST Manager Internationa Banking & Qualified at 60 ( He started in 2001 & Completed in 2004 ) You can go to a Book stall ask for an SFM book of CA Final by S D Bala & read the preface. Compared to Him you are Too young & even I am sorry to tell you but  as per his profile he had enough value & scope even without CA at 57 & also no financial Need for him But he did, Compare your present with him & decide the scope & value

AND U NEED TO VALIDATE UR OLD REGISTRATION NUMBER,BY PAYING SOME NOMINAL FEE,THEN ONLY U CAN ENJOY THE EXEMPTION FROM ARTICLETRAINING

Hi,

Thank you for the information. Need few clarifications.

1. When I gonethrough the fee structure, I found some three slabs, like both groups of IPCC and one of the group of IPCC. Here my question is, if I register for both group of IPCC, am I required to attend both the groups at once ?

2. Or Can I take one group in Nov 12 and another group in May 13 (or subsequent period)

3. If I register for only one group is there any time limit to complete the exams ?

4. Finally, Is there any time limit to complete the IPCC exams ?

Thanks & Regards

Raghavendra

1)no need to attempt both groups at a time

2)yes u can

3)no there is no such limits

4)no there is no such limit, only revalidation of registration required if one person is not able to clear ipcc with in 4 years

contact icai.org,for more information

Thanks, I will register as soon as possible

Carry on with your old job.Just to affix CA before your name you can restart studies but no scope as such in ca profession. Market is already flooded with foolish Chartered accountants.

I dont intend to disharten you.

Ganesh Babu SD bala wanted to write a book. He did CA at the age of 57. Poor fellow what else you can expect from this old man who has already seen life, absorbed all pleasures, had enuf money as he was a retired banker.

But this man is still middle aged. Try doing something which works and earn money.whats the point in breaking the horns and entering into the community of calves.

once was a respected profession somewhere in 70s.
