Book for financial reporting

can someone tell me which book is good for financial reporting.

lately i am not able to understand FR taught in my classes.

so i have decided to opt for self study.

but the problem is i don't understand the problems unless i have read the theory with respect to the chapter.

so please tell me which book has theory as well as problems.

is m p vijay kumar's book good for self study???
